How To Add DJI Care Refresh After 48 Hours, Updated for 2022

When buying a new DJI drone, one item you may overlook is DJI’s extended care plan, called DJI Care Refresh. (You can read more about it at the bottom of this article, or here.)

In a nutshell, DJI Care Refresh provides two replacement units for a very small additional charge during the first year, and covers accidents such as water damage and crashes. If you own the Mavic Air 2 or Mini 2 it also covers you for a fly-away.

We always encourage new drone buyers to add DJI Care Refresh at checkout, which automatically activates and attaches it to your drone.  There’s nothing else to do.

(If you want to verify that your DJI drone has DJI Care Refresh already, and how long is left on the term, you can verify it here.)

  • Hi there. Do you happen to know if there are any DJI drones that do not qualify for the DJI Refresh as a used drone? The reason I ask is because the Mavic 3 Refresh purchase page states the following criteria and does not mention a video review option for used drones.

    1. DJI Care Refresh can be bound to a previously purchased DJI aircraft when it meets one of the following criteria:
    · Brand new and un-activated aircraft;

    · Aircraft activated within the last 48 hours.

    2. DJI Care Refresh is only eligible in the region where it was purchased. To ensure that you can enjoy the service normally, DJI Care Refresh and the corresponding product must be purchased from the same country or region.

    Thanks in advance!

    • Yes, you are eligible to purchase DJI Care after 48 hours even with the Mavic 3. In the conditions listed on the Mavic 3 Classic DJI Care Refresh page it indicates that if you are outside the 48 hour window that you should use the Video Verification service.

    • Hi Barry, thanks for the question. Care refresh is available after 48 hours, you may have to use a different link if you’re not seeing in the other. Try this one, and click on ‘Video Verification’ in the “Tips” box on the right side of the page.
