LEAK: Is This A First Photo Of The Mavic 2 ??

Finally an end to DJI rumors! We finally have a leaked photo. All of the usual suspects are distributing various leaked photos of what is being touted as the all new Mavic 2.

Originally thought to be called Mavic Pro II or Mavic Pro 2, the images clearly show “Mavic 2” on the front arm of the folding quadcopter, leading to speculation that there could be two versions of the new drone.

Adding to that speculation is there appears to be two different sizes of camera.  As you can see in the photo above, the front mounted gimbal sports a large camera sensor.  However the blue circled sensor is obviously smaller.

Could the new Mavic 2 camera gimbals also be a fit for an Osmo device much like the GoPro Karma system?

Noticeable on the side of the Mavic 2 is a large optical sensor for lateral obstacle avoidance/detection.  And looking at the drone body on the left, a rear opening for backwards obstacle avoidance.

But what I think we’re honestly looking at are both new models of Mavic in the same photo.  The larger Mavic 2 on the right, and a new Mavic Pro 2 on the left.

One thing we can tell you is that someone has broken their non-disclosure agreement with DJI.  Which usually means others will follow suit shortly.
