Over the 5+ years we’ve been reporting on drone rumors and news, one person has stood out from the start as a constant source of leaked DJI material. Twitter-user @OsitaLV keeps bringing the best guesses of new products, and is almost always first with leaked images of new products.
If I didn’t know better, I would have to to say he’s part of the DJI advanced-marketing team.
Tonight he dropped the official launch graphic, above, showing the catch-phrase DJI is using for the FPV Combo: Redefine Flying. A perfect match to the the original FPV System slogan of “Reimagine Your FPV World”.
Yes it’s cute to see whateven slogan DJI has attached to a new product, but even more important is the price: $1299. Wait, what? Yup, you saw that right! The DJI FPV Combo is coming in a couple hundred dollars less than we originally expected.
All indications are that the FPV Combo will be available for order on March 2nd, but we would not be the least bit surprised if it was sooner.
@OsitaLV dropped a couple of addtional product images, below, including the ‘Motion Controller’ that will add a whole new dimension for drone pilots used to the traditional x-box style controller.
We think news of the lower price is going to attract even more buyers on launch day to join one of the fastest growing recreational hobbies. What about you?
