Like all drone rumors, the DJI FPV Drone started leaking out months ago. We’ve seen “accidental” Instagram posts by film-makers (likely contracted by DJI to make promotional videos) and multiple leaked images from people who must be beta-testers and/or connected to DJI’s dealer network.
Today our FCC sniffer passed along new filings for DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 and DJI FPV Goggles V2 and the DJI FPV Drone.

FCC Applications always preceed the product launch, and it;s often just days or weeks before the actual product release (the FCC Application for the FPV Drone itself came out as we’re writing this article), which means the first DJI FPV drone release date could be in time for Christmas.
Once the DJI FPV Drone Combo is released it will be available for pre-order at DJI FPV page.

Lots of questions remain to be answered on this new racing quad. The only specs we’ve seen have come from Chinese social media, and there’s been less DJI leaks on this drone than usual.
But remember the Golden Rule of DJI Product launches: the closer you get to a new product the more drone rumors you see and the faster the leaked images and specs appear!

Big Motors – Big Battery
We’re really interested in DJI FPV Drone’s battery. At 2000mAh it’s just over half the size of a Mavic 2 Series battery, but rated at 22.2 volts means it’s sending 30% more juice to the motors! This thing will move!
