Mavic Pro Price Crash Is Another Clue That Mavic 2 Is Coming

Earlier this week we were among the first to share legitimate whispers that a Mavic 2 is in the works.  The slightly larger, longer flying follow-on drone to the Mavic Pro could be closer than anyone imagined.

Why do we think this?

First of all, the sketches we shared come from a source that has been incredibly reliable and timely with his information.

Second, and even more convincing for us, are the incredible mark-downs we’re seeing on the Mavic Pro.  Rarely do we see a current model DJI drone offered at such a deal: in this case 31% off!!!

Or wait…do we?  If we go back in time to when the Phantom 4 was released, we saw similar mark-downs on the Phantom 3 ahead of the launch.  And just before the Phantom 4 Pro came out the Phantom 4 was similarly marked down before being shelved.

So far we’re seeing the DJI Mavic Pro Fly More Combo marked down to $899 at B&H Photo and Adorama…a $400 savings at two of THE biggest online photo/video retailers.  Both Adorama and B&H Photo which are based out New York City, show the Mavic combo as “in stock & ready to ship” at both retailers.

Adorama and B&H Photo both offer free shipping on this deal, which gets the combo to you on time for Christmas and under budget!  And to put this deal in perspective, you are getting the Fly More Combo for the same price as the basic Mavic Pro bundle at DJI.

But back to the theme of this story for a second, we may have to back up our expectations for when a Mavic 2 will be launched.  Based on these markdowns, we could see it teased at the CES in Las Vegas in January.

Stay tuned!
