  • is new nikon d7500 not compatible with Ronin-S?

    Reply
    • No, at the time of launch the Nikon D7500 was not a compatible camera. We’ve reached out to DJI to find out when/if additional cameras will be added via future firmware updates.
      Stay tuned!

  • Where did this info come from?

There is a British man (MadRC?) saying ONLY the d850 works with pull focus. Posted today—July 1 2018.

I have a D5 and a D810, so I’d love to know if the above note is “official” or unsubstantiated heresy. PLEASE be specific as to your source. Thanks.

    • Hi Michael,
If you click on this link to the DJI Ronin-S page at DJI, and then click on “FAQ” beside the “Buy Now” button it will take you to the list of Frequently Asked Questions.
Scroll down to “Compatibility and Connectivity” and the list of compatible cameras is #1.
On the first page of the pdf, the Nikon D850 is listed as having Pull Focus in a future firmware update.
DJI has tooled with the specs list several times since the Ronin-S was released as they get a handle on which Nikon Cameras will have Ronin-S functionality. We have updated our list as well.

  • The official camera compatibility list on DJI’s site now has the D850 as the only compatible Nikon Camera. The original list had dozens saying they were compatible. My Ronin S showed up today and it has zero functionality with a D750 other than being able to balance it. They don’t even include any cables that could work with the D750 so i’m pretty pissed. Don’t trust any of the lists except on DJI’s site otherwise you’ll be screwed.
