UPDATE: Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Audio Input IN STOCK!!!! + MORE !!!

Last week we emailed our ‘product guy’ at DJI for an update on when the next Osmo Pocket Accessories will be released.

If you remember back to the Osmo Pocket launch in November, DJI promised we would see a robust stable of accesories including:

So far DJI has released the Controller Wheel, Wireless Module, and Accessory Mount for the Osmo Pocket.  And they’re all super functional.

So we were really pleased to hear that at least two of the new accessories above will be available THIS WEEK, and more to come in April.

So here’s the timeline of what’s coming:

Last night DJI added the 3.5mm Adapter to the DJI Store.  It’s showing as ‘not in stock’, but we expect you should be able to order it on Friday March 8th according to our inside sources.

The 3.5mm Adapter retails for US$39, and you can sign up for an in-stock notification here.

We are really excited for the 3.5mm Audio Adapter because it’s going to let creators get even more functionality from the Osmo Pocket by letting you connect your favorite lavalier (like the RODE SmartLav+) or a shotgun mic like the RODE VideoMicro.

It also means that a new firmware update will also be coming, since the USB-C connection currently doesn’t allow 3rd party audio adapters to work.  Will we also see some new functions added to the Osmo Pocket in this next update?

We should also see the Charging Case withinin a week or so (it’s been delayed a little bit longer), which will retail for US$129.

The Osmo Pocket Charging Case is a battery bank that holds a full extra charge for when you need it and securely protects the Osmo Pocket. It also has spaces to store SD cards, ND filters and the Wireless Module.

Also arriving the next few days is DJI’s ND Filter Set for the Osmo Pocket.

It will retail for US$49, and will help you capture more cinematic video by deploying the proper manual camera settings.

The Waterproof Case and Extension Rod are still timed for release in “early to middle of April” according to our source.
