We’ve been using the DJI Osmo Pocket ever since it was released in 2018. Actually, we received it a few weeks before launch to do beta testing with it (thanks DJI!). Ever since then we keep finding new ways to create content with this incredibly versatile handheld camera gimbal.
DJI upgraded the Osmo Pocket last year with the release of the Pocket 2. But don’t be fooled. Now that it’s hugely marked down, it’s an even more valuable tool to have in your kit for one simple reason alone: B-roll.
If you spend any time watching the best content creators on Youtube, you’ll know that it’s actually the B-roll video in their segments that is the most magnetic for sustained views. Incorporating butter smooth, slowed-down B-roll in your videos is going to extend your video length (and increase your watch time stats!) and it’s also going to make your videos much more likely to get Likes and Subscribes.

Have an extra stabilized gimbal just for B-roll makes our production time faster and let’s me bring in a helper who is just there to capture the B-roll!
