DJI Mini 2 Release Date & Price!

DJI Mini 2 launch site: Make Your Moments Fly | November 4th, 2020 | 8 PM EST

So many drone rumors about the new DJI Mini 2 in our inbox that we almost missed the official announcment that the Mini 2 will be launched November 4th at 8pm EST.

Over the next 48 hours we should see even more leaks of Mini 2 specs, photos and videos that will hopefully fill in some of the missing details we need to know. Specs like framerates, write speed, still photo resolution are still unknowns and will matter to many of our readers.

You may recall that the original Mavic Mini shot 2.7K up to 30fps, and if you wanted to do slow motion it was by using 60fps at 1080p. Write speed for the original Mini was only 40 mbps, so the new Mini 2 will have to seriously increase that for 4K.

While we wait, we can share price details. In the US, the DJI Mini 2 is $599 for the Fly More Combo and $499 for the Standard Kit. You may remember that Trump’s tariff’s on products from China has pushed prices up for Americans, and most DJI products are actually less expensive outside of the US.

For other countries the Mini 2 Fly More Combo is $549, and the Standard Kit is $449.

DJI has moved so much product over the last couple of months with releases of the OM4, Pocket 2, RS2 and RSC2. It is amazing that they have the capacity to update the Mavic Mini as well to 4K and OcuSync 2.0.

Last night we received an email from DJI advising that the DJI Pocket has also shipped, and we expect to have on in our hands Friday for a full side-by-side comparison with the original Osmo Pocket.
