DJI Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine Appear in FCC Database

It’s now official the DJI Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine drone are about to be released on November 5th.

After dozens of Mavic 3 rumors and leaks, including the DJI teaser graphic last week, we can confirm that the Mavic 3 is the third product in the DJI “Good Things Come in Three’s” graphic.

Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine will be released on November 5th, will could also pave the way for DJI to finally commit to attending CES2022 in January.

FCC filings usually just confirm the actual product exists and is about to be released. But the details in the FCC application can shed some light on the new product.

Looking at the FCC label that will hide inside the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine, we can see right away it has a 5000 mAh battery. If we compare it to the Mavic 2 Series which has a 3850 mAh battery this is a huge increase in power! Actually it’s a 30% increase in battery power.

DJI stepped up the battery life of the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine by adding an additonal cell to the Mavic 3 Intelligent Flight Battery. Previous DJI Mavic drones have had a 3 cell LiPo battery. The new Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine have a robust 4 cell LiPo that will power the drone for over 40 minutes.
