DJI FPV Drone: More Leaked Photos
As usual, the next DJI drone, an FPV quadcopter, is the worst kept secret on the internet. As the first drone to drop in 2021, DJI’s first-ever FPV drone should be released around January 8th when it will be available for pre-order in the DJI FPV Shop.
New spy images from Chinese drone blogger Kanzhaji are making the rounds, showing DJI’s FPV drone in final production version as well as in it’s retail packaging.
These will likely be among the last photos to be leaked before the FPV drone is launched. The next leaked images should be coming from actual retail locations that have received stock.
The known specs so far are extremely impressive for a turn-key FPV drone, and include:
- 4K60fps camera
- 6 cell lithium battery
- 21 minute flight time
- 22.2 Volt / 2000 mAh battery
- GPS Return-to-Home
- High-def low latency image transmission
- Two-axis gimbal
- 150km/h top speed

Consumer enthusiasm for the DJI FPV Combo is literally off the chart and FPV drone flying is one of the fastest recreational activities, along with FPV racing. Based on traffic we’ve seen whenever we publish an article on the DJI FPV drone, DJI will sell a lot of these.
Many of our readers have shared that they haven’t gotten started in FPV drones because they didn’t want to muck around with the assembly and hardwire side of the sport. The absence of a high-quality, turn-key FPV system has kept them out of the sport…until now.
The expected price point for the FPV Combo, (the drone, controller and goggles are only sold as a kit, is expected to be around US$1500.
We’d love to know what you think about the DJI FPV Drone Combo. Are you a buyer? Are you new to the sport? Let us know in the comments or the DJI FPV Drone Owners Facebook group.

I’m wondering if it will be possible to use dji smart controller with built in display for this drone. I like the idea of the goggles for my own enjoyment but what about me flying the drone with someone else wearing goggles. I dont see any hookup for a phone on this new controller.
It looks the V2 goggles have usb out video, so the others can see what you see…
No, Scott, the FPV drones have a totally different requirement for the remote. At least they sticks of the remote shouldn’t be automatically centered. You cannot make loops with the standard remote
