Our FCC sniffer pinged us today to lets us know about a new DJI rumor that an application is in the works for new FPV product called DJI Goggles Racing Edition.
Aside from better processing speeds to eliminate lag, we’re unsure just what features of the Racing Edition DJI Goggles will be different from the original DJI Goggles.
Test images of the new DJI Goggles Racing Edition are under a confidentiality embargo until May 2018, so unless one of the usual bloggers in China posts some photos we’ll have to rely on the sketch provided (above) in DJI’s application.
The sample image in the FCC label exhibit indicates the label location is very different from the original DJI Goggles which leads us to believe these are an all new form factor.
No user manual was found in the application exhibits submitted by DJI in the application, which most likely indicates that it could be some time before we see the DJI Goggles Racing Edition hit the store shelf.
The DJI Goggles Racing Edition will sport model # G1P when available.
