BREAKING: DJI Teases Something New On March 28th

Are you ready for an all-new DJI rumor? This time it’s not about the Mavic Pro II or the Phantom 5.  This one is straight out of DJI Enterprise….the ‘industrial’ drone division at DJI Global.  This week we received DJI’s Evolve With Us teaser for something new on March 28th.

With just the teaser line “Over the years, DJI has reshaped the way creative minds view the world. Now, we’re changing the way you work in it. Stay tuned for what’s next on March 28th.” we’re left to wonder exactly what DJI will be unveiling on March 28th.”

Actually, this one isn’t even a rumor.  It’s the real deal.  How do we know?  Our FCC sniffer let us in on this one back on March 12th, but because we had really poor internet while in Mexico we kept it under wraps…until now.

On March 28th we think that DJI is finally releasing the MG-1P RTK and MG-1P industrial drone platforms.

The MG-1P RTK and MG-1P are the new heavy DJI drone systems designed specifically with Ag and industrial users in mind.

Just check out this video, released two days ago, to see where DJI has turned it’s focus:

The MG-1P is a behemoth of a drone, with six softball sized motors, instead of the 8 smaller ones on the original MG-1 and MG-1S.

The RTK stands for Real Time Kinematic navigation which takes the level of precision in flight control to a higher level for situations requiring higher accuracy. The same RTK feature was prototyped into a Phantom 4 at the end of 2017, but has not been released.

It’s entirely possible that on March 28th DJI will release just the MG-1P‘s or the Phantom 4 RTK or both.  But we’ll just have to wait and see.

We think this launch event, and the way DJI exploring enterprise use of drones is going to be mind-blowing.  The business world is just beginning to scratch the surface of how aerial systems can be deployed and entire new ways of thinking are about to be unleashed.

We can’t wait.
