V-COPTR Falcon Drone Ready-To-Ship in Latest Photos

We first saw the bi-copter powered V-COPTR Falcon drone at CES2020 in Las Vegas, shortly after it was announced. With over a dozen different drone companies (in addition to DJI) showcasing their latest hardware, this unique offering by ZeroZero Robotics really caught our eye. We couldn’t get over how quiet it is and how long the battery lasts…able to fly for 50 minutes. At the time V-COPTR Falcon was one of the longest flying folding drones.

But waiting almost two years for the actual V-COPTR Falcon to be released means a lot of potential drone buyers will have given up waiting and moved on to other products.

After a long wait, the lastest leaked images on social media look like the 4K:12MP V-COPTR Falcon is getting ready to hit retail shelves.

Hand Launching Perfection

In addition to it’s ultra-quite ‘stealth’ motors, V-COPTR Falcon looks like it could be one of the easiest drones for hand-landing and launching.  The elevated v-arms keep the propellers far from your hands making it much less dangerous to do hand-catches in tricky situations.

The convenience of only two motors and easier hand catching is a nice-to-have feature. But whether we give it a Buy Now recommendation in our 2021 Drone Buyers Guide depends on more important specs like battery, camera and more.

We haven’t actually seen the V-COPTR Falcon remote control, but we expect it looks much like every other drone RC you’ve seen so far.

Everything about V-COPTR Falcon looks good to us. Novel design. Quieter, longer flight times. Our only challenge, and it’s a small one, is the camera.

Sporting 1/2.3″ sensor the V-COPTR captures 4K30 video and 12MP still photos. Given the long time from announcement to actual release we would have expected the camera to upgrade to 4K60 and higher still photo resolution.

Pricing is not yet available, and insights on the distribution plan for the V-COPTR are slow to emerge. Stay tuned, we’ll update you once we hear back from ZeroZero
