New Parrot Drone Drops Tomorrow – Is It a DJI Mini 2 Challenger?
Parrot drones hasn’t released a new consumer drone since the ANAFI dropped 3 years ago. The ANAFI was definitely a capable drone at the time, and was one of the first serious challengers to DJI’s dominance.
But DJI’s rapid product development cycle quickly put the ANAFI drone behind the constantly evolving DJI fleet of folding quadcopters.
Tomorrow, Parrot is stepping back into the fold with a mysterious little drone we think is targeted to compete with DJI’s Mini 2 sub-250 gram drone.
Parrot sent out this tweet to tease the drone release tomorrow, and there could be more to it than meets the eye.

Using a Praying Mantis in the image to illustrate the new drone’s folding arms could also be a hint to it’s name “Mantis”.
That’s only speculation, of course, but it makes sense.
The new Parrot drone will drop at 4pm CEST tomorrow, so be sure to hit ‘allow’ for notifications and we’ll make sure it hits your inbox once the details get released.
The Parrot Anafi can be found in our 2021 Drone Buyers Guide, but because of it’s age and out-of-date specs it has a ‘Do Not Buy’ recommendation on it.
We look forward to reviewing this new Parrot drone, whatever it’s named, and adding it to the Drone Buyers Guide.
I doubt Parrot would call one of their drones Mantis when Yuneec already have.
