More Leaked Photos of New DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0
While we eagerly await the release of the known DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, new images keep surfacing on the internet.
It’s very likely safe to say these are photos of the new Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. A parallel rumor about an alleged DJI Phantom 5 has been making the rounds for months, but not a shred of information has surfaced.
Unlike the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, which received FCC clearance a few weeks ago, the Phantom 5 has only existed in rumor.
The latest shots of the new DJI Phantom are the best yet at showing the new gimbal that incorporates a changeable lens system like the DJI Zenmuse X7.
If you zoom in you can clearly see “DJI LENS” on the side of the lens attachment, right.
Earlier this week we also wrote about the pending release of a Phantom 4 RTK drone with advanced communication and navigation electronics for industrial/commercial operators.
We thought the Phantom 4 V2.0 might have been released at NAB2018, but the new Master Wheels and Pro Force controllers were more in line with the theme of the show.
Our fallback prediction for the Phantom 4 V2.0 release is during the week leading up to Memorial Day in the US. Past releases, like the DJI Spark, occured at the same time, and DJI is also running an affiliate contest up to May 23rd, so this definitely increases the odds of a product release.
