STOCK ALERT: DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Base Now Available

When DJI released the new Osmo Mobile 2 handheld smartphone gimbal in January it was a complete overhaul of the original Osmo Mobile.

Smarter features like longer battery life (with the ability to charge the smartphone while in use) and a better gimbal design that allowed it to fold properly were just a few.  With a built in tripod screw in the bottom of the Osmo Mobile 2 grip, gone was the need for a special base….any mount that would accept a DSLR would accept the Osmo Mobile 2.

But not everyone wants to lug around a tripod, and there are times when filmmakers just want to place the Osmo on a table top or the ground for filming.  So at launch, DJI also released a new base for the Osmo Mobile 2.

Unavailable, until now, it retails for just $10 at store.dji.com.  Unlike the original Osmo Base, the new one connects to the OM2 usng the tripod screw mount making it much more stable.
