Odds Of Phantom 4 V2.0 at NAB Just Improved

Sorry if you’re still suffering from DJI rumor overload.  We get it.  Try going through our inbox on a daily basis.

But we just received an alert from our FCC sniffer that another C1 remote application, with model # GL300K just received clearance.

What’s so special about GL300k? You’ll recall from our previous scoop on the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 that the remote for it is  model GL300L.  The new remote has the adjacent model GL300K, which really has our wheels turning!  Two remotes for the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0?!?!

When these applications are processed through the FCC, they’re accompanied with detailed test results, and photographs, that are almost always embargoed by a confidentiality restriction.  But these embargoes always have an expiry, which gives us clues to when you can actually buy a product.

Coincidentally, the NABSHOW starts tomorrow in Las Vegas, and DJI has never been shy about new product launches at related events.  In fact, we told you earlier today that “new products” is already on the schedule for DJI on Tuesday.

So here goes: Our first prediction is that the Phantom 4 V2.0 will be released at NAB2018 and will ship just before Memorial Day in May.  Obviously we can’t guarantee accuracy, but we had a twitter follower reach out to us to corroborate this info as well.

To hedge our prediction, we’ll say that if the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 isn’t released at NAB2018, there will be a DJI launch event (live or webcast) in the 3rd week of May and the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 will ship in July.

P.S. Maybe the two remotes indicates that there is a Phantom 4 V2.0 and a Phantom 4 Pro V2.0…..hmmmmm…….

Stay tuned.
