VIDEO LEAK: New DJI Prototype Drone For Ronin 2

DJI has surprised us again, even though we suspected that two announcements were almost overdue.

DJI Ronin 2 and frame

This time at the American Society of Cinematographers clubhouse last night DJI showcased a new working prototype of a DJI hexa-copter with fist sized propeller motors capable of lifting the new heavy-duty Ronin 2 camera rig.

And this is a serious drone capable of carrying the Ronin 2, which weighs in at 12 lbs.

With triple antennas it should be able to withstand enormous amount of interference, and to match the the Ronin 2‘s 2.5 hour run-time it must also be carrying some serious battery power.

The new mystery drone, which we’ll call an E5000 is supported by three legs that appear to fold up toward the prop arms.

More details as we have them, if you’re in Hollywood please keep an eye out for this beast, and share any info with us via our contact page here.
