So, for about $50, you can mash together your own FPV system for your Mavic while you decie if the more expensive DJI Goggles are right for you.
First, download the Litchi app ($25) from the App store or Google Play store. Then head over to Amazon and order the Utopia 360 VR headset. 
The Utopia 360 VR Headset is like Google Cardboard, only better. With free Prime shipping the Utopia ranges from $25 to $35.
The Litchi app provides a basic overlay for altitude, distance, battery, and the direction the drone is pointed.
You may want to give it a try if you have a Mavic drone and want to dabble in FPV flying without spending too much.
